Job Title: Technical Sales Representative

Dyco Inc. is seeking a skilled Technical Sales Representative to join our National Sales team. This role is based in the Chicago region and involves working from home with occasional travel to national and North America locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new customers in the plastic container handling and conveyor field.
  • Communicate with customers through phone calls, emails, and in-person meetings to discuss projects and build trust.
  • Collaborate with the Applications team to create proposals and quotes for customers.
  • Review and finalize quotations for accuracy before sending to customers.
  • Participate in conference calls to discuss quotations and solutions with customers.
  • Record key conversations and email communications with customers in our CRM software.
  • Contribute to process improvements and suggest ideas to simplify and enhance our quoting process.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects and opportunities based on their likelihood of being ordered, importance, and deadlines.
Requirements:
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong time management, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel up to 40% nationally.
  • Self-motivation and attention to detail are essential.
Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Sales, Management, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2-5+ years of Sales or Engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of plastic container handling or packaging is preferred.
