Position Summary:
This role entails executing quantitative analysis and intricate modeling projects for designated business units or risk categories. Key duties encompass spearheading the creation of innovative models, analytic methodologies, and system strategies, along with producing technical documentation for related tasks. Key Responsibilities:

Education Requirements:
Advanced degree in quantitative disciplines such as Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Finance, Engineering, or Computer Science is preferred.

At Bank of America, our models support a wide array of functions, including valuation, risk management, capital planning, stress testing, and strategic decision-making. We acknowledge the inherent risks associated with model usage and strive to manage these risks effectively.

The Enterprise Model Risk Management (MRM) Team oversees model risk across our inventory, validating and challenging both new and existing models. This team is responsible for model risk assessments, monitoring, and communication of validation issues to relevant stakeholders.

The successful candidate will join the MRM Consumer Banking team as a senior quantitative finance analyst, focusing on independent testing and review of complex consumer predictive models.

• Review and critically assess models supporting consumer banking strategies and credit risk management, evaluating their conceptual soundness, assumptions, data, and performance.

• Develop and implement independent testing plans to rigorously challenge models through empirical analyses.

• Monitor ongoing model activities to proactively identify and mitigate emerging risks.

• Prepare technical reports for distribution to stakeholders, senior management, and regulatory bodies.

• Mentor junior staff while leading validation projects.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience with a PhD or 8 years with a Master's degree in financial risk modeling or validation is required.
