Position Overview
This role is designed to assist the Design and Engineering (D&E) team with the management of laboratory space and equipment, ensuring their safety, proper usage, calibration, and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
As a vital member of the team, you will be responsible for:

  • Evaluating the safety standards of laboratory equipment.
  • Assessing new equipment and changes in processes.
  • Contributing to the electrical and mechanical safety evaluations of lab apparatus.
  • Assisting in the collection and creation of documentation for lab equipment based on safety evaluations.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and disseminating lab equipment documentation, including but not limited to: block diagrams, circuit diagrams, user manuals, and test plans.
  • Monitoring maintenance and calibration schedules for lab equipment.
  • Facilitating the storage and distribution of laboratory equipment.
  • Collaborating on lab space utilization and organizational requirements, processes, and planning.
  • Supporting safety protocols within the laboratory environment.
  • Identifying process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of an Associate's Degree is preferred.
  • Experience in the design, implementation, and utilization of laboratory equipment in mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Hands-on experience with a broad technical understanding of mechanical and mechatronic systems.
  • Familiarity with the 5S methodology.
  • Strong ability to produce clear and detailed process documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; knowledge of SharePoint is advantageous.
