Principal System Security Software Engineer

At Raytheon, we are seeking a highly skilled Principal System Security Software Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Software Security Sensors and Effectors Department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating real-time software solutions for missile systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply System Security principles to the design and implementation of hardened Missile software applications.
- Develop software applications using C and C++ languages on a variety of computing platforms.
- Understand real-time software design and the performance implications associated with specific System Security implementations.
- Develop Test, Automation, and Build software for embedded software, typically in Python.
- Obtain and maintain a clearance at the Top-Secret level.
Qualifications:
- Typically requires a Bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Math or related engineering/science discipline and 8+ years of experience.
- Experience with Xilinx IDEs (SDK/Vitis, Vivado) and Xilinx Zynq MPSoCs, UltraScale+, or similar Embedded Processors.
- Experience with VxWorks 7 or similar Embedded Operating Systems.
- Experience with C or C++ and Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience designing, implementing, testing, integrating or fielding real-time security-oriented solutions on Department of Defense (DoD) programs (embedded experience highly preferred).
- Experience in developing Embedded Security Software and Systems/Software Security Concepts.
- Experience in Agile and DevSecOps environments and Agile/Scrum/Kanban frameworks and development environments.
- Experience using software configuration management and bug tracking tools and Python / Perl.
- Knowledge of modern computer architectures and hardware technologies including x86 architectures, PCIe, GPIO, I2C, SATA, Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs), and Application-Specific Integrated Circuits (ASICs).
