Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Software Security Engineer to join our team at Raytheon. As a key member of our Software Security Sensors and Effectors Department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating real-time software solutions for missile systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop secure software applications using C and C++ languages on various computing platforms.
  • Apply system security principles to the design and implementation of hardened signal processing software applications.
  • Develop and review detailed solutions at the source code level, ensuring compliance with system security requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software applications and ensure seamless system performance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Math, or related field, and 8+ years of experience.
  • Proven experience in team environments developing and integrating software applications.
  • Experience working on embedded systems and with C/C++ programming languages.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance required prior to start date.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience designing, implementing, testing, integrating, or fielding real-time security-oriented solutions on Department of Defense (DoD) programs.
  • Experience using security-relevant tools and devices for security auditing, network security, host/server security, communication security, or policy management.
  • Experience with Xilinx products (MPSoCs) and development environments.
  • Experience creating, modifying, or implementing Board Support Packages (BSPs).
  • Experience in Agile and DevSecOps environments.
