Job Title: Principal System Security Software Engineer

About the Role:

As a Principal System Security Software Engineer at Raytheon, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating real-time software systems that meet the highest security standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our software solutions are secure, reliable, and meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop secure software systems using C and C++ languages on various computing platforms.
  • Apply system security principles to the design and implementation of hardened missile software applications.
  • Develop test, automation, and build software for embedded software, typically in Python.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure that software solutions meet security and reliability requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats and technologies to ensure that our software solutions remain secure.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Math, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on real-time systems and security.
  • Experience with Xilinx IDEs (SDK/Vitis, Vivado) and Xilinx Zynq MPSoCs, UltraScale+, or similar Embedded Processors.
  • Experience with VxWorks 7 or similar Embedded Operating Systems.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government-issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience designing, implementing, testing, integrating, or fielding real-time security-oriented solutions on Department of Defense (DoD) programs.
  • Experience in developing embedded security software.
  • Experience with systems/software security concepts.
  • Experience in Agile and DevSecOps environments.
  • Experience in an Agile/Scrum/Kanban frameworks and development environments.
