Job Title:
Principal System Security Software Engineer

About the Role:
Raytheon is seeking a highly skilled Principal System Security Software Engineer to design, develop, and integrate real-time software solutions for missile systems. As a key member of our Software Security Sensors and Effectors Department, you will apply System Security principles to the design and implementation of hardened Missile software applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply System Security principles to the design and implementation of hardened Missile software applications.
  • Develop software applications using C and C++ languages on a variety of computing platforms.
  • Understand real-time software design and the performance implications associated with specific System Security implementations.
  • Develop Test, Automation, and Build software for embedded software, typically in Python.
  • Obtain and maintain a clearance at the Top-Secret level.

Requirements:

Typically requires a Bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Math or related engineering/science discipline and 8+ years of experience.


  • Experience with Xilinx IDEs (SDK/Vitis, Vivado) and Xilinx Zynq MPSoCs, UltraScale+, or similar Embedded Processors.
  • Experience with VxWorks 7 or similar Embedded Operating Systems.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience designing, implementing, testing, integrating or fielding real-time security-oriented solutions on Department of Defense (DoD) programs.
  • Experience in developing Embedded Security Software.
  • Experience with Systems/Software Security Concepts.
  • Experience in Agile and DevSecOps environments.
