Job Summary

The Human Resources Manager at Darling Ingredients Inc. is responsible for overseeing all HR functions, including supervising Administrative HR staff. This role provides HR support across corporate and plant levels, with a focus on employee relations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations issues, conducting thorough and impartial investigations into employee complaints, grievances, and disputes.
  • Experience with 401k audit and administration, as well as company representation for unemployment hearings.
  • Assist in formulating, recommending, and writing HR policies and objectives, identifying legal issues and government regulations at locations, and monitoring company exposure.
  • Travel to all locations to evaluate HR functions, turnover, management practices, employee relations, and make recommendations for improvement, providing on-site training.
  • Determine training needs and implement proper programs within regional areas, supervising and directing HR staff and workflow, including payroll, benefits, FMLA, COBRA, and general HR functions.
  • Act as the HR contact on HR issues throughout regional areas and all levels of the organization.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or other related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience as an HR Manager in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • HR Certification preferred; CP or SCP.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on generalist with ability to administer and direct HR functions.
  • Work well with others in a team environment.
  • Highly organized; superior time management skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and oral.
  • Self-motivated; self-starter; able to multi-task; proven leader.
  • Understands importance of confidentiality and integrity within the HR function.
Work Environment

Job functions will be carried out in an office and/or plant environment.
