Human Resources Generalist

The Human Resources Generalist is a key member of the Fresh Express team, responsible for providing comprehensive support to the HR department. This role requires a strong understanding of employment laws, principles, and practices of human resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides guidance on employee relations, labor union relations, and interpretation of company policies and procedures.
- Serves as a subject matter expert on company policies, procedures, and performance management.
- Identifies ineffective or inconsistent practices and makes recommendations for remediation.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees.
- Ensures compliance with all Federal, State, and local municipalities employment law requirements.
- Coordinates Leaves of Absence (LOA) claims, ensuring all processes and regulations are applied appropriately and in a timely manner.
- Establishes claims, tracks, and codes documentation and time in accordance with internal processes.
- Represents the employer in unemployment hearings.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years' related experience as an HR Generalist, with emphasis on FMLA Administration.
- Strong working knowledge of employment laws, principles, and practices of human resources.
- Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, follow-up, and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality and exercise excellent professional judgment and discretion.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in HR management or equivalent experience in the HR field. A team player attitude with a clear understanding of excellence in customer service is essential.
