Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Automation Testing Engineer who will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks for both UI and API. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders, including Architecture, Business Users, Development, and QA Engineers, to ensure comprehensive testing coverage and the overall reliability, performance, and quality of our applications. The successful candidate will deliver effective technical solutions while adhering to project timelines and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with architecture teams to understand and implement best practices and standards from both technological and procedural perspectives.
  • Communicate complex technical solutions effectively to diverse audiences, both technical and non-technical.
  • Ensure timely completion of UI, API, and performance automation testing activities across multiple projects, driving tasks and milestones to meet project plans.
  • Maintain a strong grasp of current automation testing processes and best practices, adapting to IT and business needs to achieve project goals.
  • Participate in waterfall, agile, and CI/CD methodologies.
  • Provide estimates and resource forecasts for automation projects, focusing on return on investment.
  • Establish metrics to measure productivity, test progress, and QA effectiveness, contributing to root cause analysis and lessons learned sessions.
  • Identify and implement improvements to the automation testing process.
  • Design and implement complex, multi-tier solutions using object-oriented principles and modern design patterns.
  • Mentor and coach junior automation testing engineers.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in Software Testing, Development, or Test Management, with a focus on advanced automation strategies.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Java, .NET, SQL, and experience with both UI and REST API automation.
  • Familiarity with mobile automation and performance testing tools is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and time management skills.
  • Experience with AGILE and DevOps CI/CD methodologies.
  • Knowledge of various testing methods and tools, including MS Test, TestNG, JUnit/NUnit, GIT, and Selenium WebDriver.
  • Ability to independently resolve complex multi-tier issues.
  • Awareness of current trends in automation and the ability to quickly learn new technologies.
  • Effective communication skills to convey testing results and implications to business and IT teams.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field is preferred.
