Position Overview:
We are looking for a Senior Automation Testing Engineer who will take charge of designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks for both UI and API. This role involves collaborating with Architecture, Business Users, Development, and QA Engineers to guarantee that all application components are thoroughly tested, ensuring system reliability, performance, and quality. You will be responsible for delivering effective and efficient technical solutions while meeting project milestones and adhering to development and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with architecture teams and understand the advantages of standards, best practices, and principles from both technological and procedural perspectives.
- Communicate complex technical solutions to diverse audiences, both technical and non-technical, in formal and informal settings.
- Ensure the timely completion of UI, API, and performance automation testing activities across multiple projects, driving tasks and milestones within defined project plans.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of current automation testing processes and best practices to ensure QA work is executed effectively.
- Participate in waterfall, agile, and CI/CD methodologies.
- Provide estimates and forecast resource requirements for automation projects, considering return on investment.
- Establish metrics to measure productivity, test progress, and QA effectiveness, and conduct root cause analysis following each release.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in the automation testing process and implement solutions.
- Design and implement complex, multi-tier solutions using Object-Oriented principles and modern design patterns.
- Mentor and coach less experienced automation testing engineers.
Qualifications:
- At least 10 years of hands-on experience in Software Testing, Development, or Test Management, with a focus on advanced automation strategies.
- Proficient in programming languages such as C#, Java, .NET, SQL, with experience in both UI and REST API automation.
- Familiarity with mobile automation and performance testing tools is a plus.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and time management skills.
- Experience with AGILE and DevOps CI/CD methodologies.
- Knowledge of various testing methods and tools, including MS Test, TestNG, JUnit/NUnit, GIT, and Selenium WebDriver.
- Ability to independently resolve complex multi-tier issues.
- Awareness of current trends in automation and the ability to quickly learn new technologies.
- Effective communication skills to convey testing results and implications to business leadership and IT teams.
- A degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field is preferred.
