Position Summary

Oversee the selection process for contractors and vendors. Ensure the procurement of high-quality goods and services at optimal prices through effective negotiation and management of supplier contracts and relationships. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance sourcing practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure comprehensive contract coverage for essential services and products
  • Manage the commercial aspects of contracts, ensuring alignment with legal, investment, engineering, and sourcing departments
  • Negotiate supplier agreements and conduct follow-ups on assigned vendor responsibilities
  • Maintain proper storage of contracts within designated systems
  • Benchmark operational costs against industry standards during the RFQ process
  • Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with established agreements
  • Identify and pursue cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and service standards
  • Support investment projects by evaluating procurement alternatives
  • Promote supplier diversity and inclusion in sourcing initiatives
  • Assist with administrative tasks within the department
  • Coordinate sourcing activities with relevant functions for assigned commodities
  • Explore new tools and methodologies to optimize global processes and supplier relationships
  • Develop and nurture relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain and enhance departmental procedures in accordance with cGMP standards
  • Adhere to all safety and environmental regulations while performing duties
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned
Physical Requirements

Ability to work in a collaborative office environment with potential distractions. Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time, subject to role-specific requirements.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in economics, engineering, business, finance, procurement, accounting, or a related field from an accredited institution
  • A minimum of five years of experience in procurement or project management, particularly in capital investment projects
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or other regulated industries is preferred
  • Familiarity with strategic procurement practices and their application in purchasing equipment and services
  • Experience in developing procurement tools and templates is advantageous
  • Strong negotiation and contracting skills are essential
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on quality, time, and stakeholder management
  • Able to create and manage action plans to meet objectives
