Position Summary
The Process Engineer will play a crucial role in driving process enhancements, emphasizing value stream management, quality assurance, and cost efficiency. This position is pivotal in leading projects and mentoring team members in advanced extrusion methodologies.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate daily with production personnel to gather and analyze operational data, performing statistical evaluations to identify root causes of issues.
- Lead cross-departmental process improvement initiatives, ensuring effective communication across all organizational levels.
- Manage project teams effectively, even without direct authority over team members.
- Initiate and oversee cost reduction strategies, compiling relevant data, recommending actions, and monitoring outcomes.
- Assist in preparing and managing the capital budget, forecasting development costs, and aiding in capital request submissions.

Essential Duties
- Provide engineering support in the design and development of innovative processes and products, focusing on manufacturability and integration.
- Spearhead significant process improvement projects aimed at minimizing waste throughout the supply chain.
- Analyze customer specifications, blueprints, and schematics to produce technical extruded products.
- Develop training processes and procedures for engineering and production teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications
- A solid understanding of plastics is preferred, with extensive experience in extrusion or injection molding.
- Background in medical device manufacturing, process enhancement, and industrial manufacturing is highly desirable.
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent experience in an extrusion manufacturing setting is required.
- Basic proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Solidworks is advantageous.
- Strong communication, listening, and analytical skills are essential for effective collaboration with customers and internal teams.

Additional Requirements
- Hands-on experience in a production environment is necessary, with flexibility to work off-shifts as project demands dictate.
- Willingness to travel to support product and process-related initiatives is expected.
- Six Sigma or Lean experience is highly recommended.
