Job Summary

The Community Living Manager is a key member of the United Cerebral Palsy of GA team, responsible for ensuring the highest quality of care and support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role involves leading a team of Direct Support Professionals, managing resources, and implementing life goals to achieve independent, productive, and rewarding lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and manage a team of Direct Support Professionals, ensuring effective communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.
  • Resource Development: Develop and implement strategies to maximize resources, ensuring the best possible outcomes for individuals served.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure all locations and staff operate within local, state, and federal requirements, adhering to UCP's policies and procedures.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and support to staff on van and lift safety, meal preparation, and other essential skills.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Maintain relationships with families, stakeholders, and other team members, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Administrative Tasks: Manage CTF, Petty Cash, and Financial logs, submitting receipts and requests as needed.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely documentation, addressing any deficiencies and performing home inspections to correct deficiencies.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A High School Diploma, 5 years of experience as a DSP, and at least 5 years of supervisory experience.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Valid driver's license, CPR/FA, and CPI.
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to lead and manage teams, excellent organizational skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
