Summary

This role is dedicated to the management and coordination of community resources available to youth offenders as part of the R.I.S.E. (Restoring Inspiration by Success in Education) initiative. The position involves collaboration with the Safety Net Project Specialist and various governmental and community organizations engaged in this program.

Key Responsibilities

The following tasks are indicative of the responsibilities associated with this position. They are not intended to be exhaustive or all-encompassing. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.
  • Receives referrals from School Resource Officers and initiates contact with the parent or guardian of the student involved.
  • Facilitates follow-up and coordinates necessary services.
  • Supports the Safety Net Project Specialist in organizing and conducting community workshops, training sessions, and related events.
  • Assists in the organization of stakeholder meetings.
  • Helps coordinate Fast Team meetings and ensures accurate meeting minutes are maintained. Monitors cases of children referred by the Fast Team until they are assigned to a Court Services Officer.
  • Maintains documentation, case files, statistics, and other records for program evaluation as mandated by agreements and applicable grants.
Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, juvenile justice, or a related field is preferred; however, candidates with relevant experience will also be considered. A minimum of two (2) years of experience and/or training working with children is required, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities for the role. Counseling experience is advantageous. A valid Georgia Driver's license is required.
