  • Prepares and distributes staff schedules promptly, optimizing staff utilization.
  • Oversees staff training and orientation, maintaining accurate records.
  • Reviews and provides constructive feedback on staff documentation, including attendance and leave requests.
  • Ensures staff are adequately trained on Material Safety Data Sheets for chemicals and supplies.
  • Acts as a positive role model and fosters staff development.
  • Conducts staff counseling and implements corrective actions, including performance improvement plans.
  • Ensures compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards and documents all related training and compliance as per company and regulatory requirements.
  • Promotes the individuality of those served by ensuring that communal living spaces and personal areas reflect their unique personalities.
  • Implements systems for the proper disposal, collection, and storage of medical waste.
  • Oversees the execution of Best in Class initiatives at assigned service sites.
  • Provides timely and constructive feedback on staff documentation, including daily progress notes and incident reports.
  • Ensures each individual served has a personalized activity schedule developed and implemented.
  • Supervises the execution of services as outlined in individual service plans.
  • Oversees the implementation and adherence to audit systems.
  • Monitors the observance of client rights and guides staff on choice-related matters such as personal belongings, financial decisions, and preferences.
  • Assists in reviewing and tracking incident and accident reports.
  • Responds to emergencies involving individuals served.
  • Participates in investigations related to individuals served and employees at assigned service sites as necessary.
  • Monitors labor hours to ensure service sites operate within budgetary constraints.
  • Ensures timely submission of financial documentation, including trust fund requests and receipts.
  • Maintains a safe work environment to minimize workplace injuries and financial liabilities, ensuring prompt reporting of all service site injuries and assisting with claims management.
  • Monitors service site expenditures in relation to budgets.
  • Trains staff on financial and administrative controls.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year of supervisory experience required.
  • Experience in providing services and support to individuals with acquired brain injuries is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with all levels of personnel, both internal and external to the organization.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and locations, covering direct care shifts as needed.
  • Experience in managing systems, processes, and personnel.
  • Familiarity with Federal, State, and local regulations regarding services for individuals with acquired brain injuries.
  • Proficient in using calculators and general office, household, and adaptive equipment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated supervisory skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Health Care Administration, or a Social Science, or a high school diploma with three years of relevant experience in brain injury services or residential services for individuals with disabilities. Exceptions to educational requirements must comply with state law and have written approval from the Administrator or designee.
  • Valid driver’s license from state of residence with a satisfactory driving record as defined by company vehicle policy and/or liability insurance carrier.
