Job Title: Payroll Specialist
About the Role:
The School Town of Munster is seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our district's financial operations, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and maintaining positive relationships with employees and management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process payroll transactions, including salary, benefits, and deductions
- Manage payroll records, reports, and compliance documents
- Communicate with employees and management regarding payroll-related matters
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve payroll-related issues
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in payroll processing or a related field
- Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
