Job Summary:
The Office Supervisor plays a crucial role in the daily operations of the physician office, overseeing the office staff and ensuring maximum financial performance. Reporting to the Director of Physician Practices & Recruitment/Physician Practice Network Manager, this position requires strong leadership and organizational skills to manage the office efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily operations of the physician office, including staff supervision and performance evaluation.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve office efficiency and productivity.
- Collaborate with the Director to set and achieve financial goals and objectives.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, physicians, and other hospital associates.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in healthcare administration.
Requirements:
- Medical Assistant certification required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred with coursework in healthcare administration.
- Two years' experience in a lead role and/or managing a physician office strongly preferred.
- Billing, coding, and collections experience.
- Electronic medical records experience.
- Experience in planning, organizing, delegating, and supervising.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask efficiently and effectively.
- Must be able to act calmly and effectively in a busy or stressful situation.
- Excellent attitude, interpersonal skills, and communication abilities necessary to interact with patients, family members, physicians, and other hospital associates.
- If working in a clinical capacity, must maintain required licensure/certification, including active CPR certification.
