Position Overview:
The Events Manager plays a crucial role within the OW Global Events Team. This position entails spearheading events throughout the Americas, with a concentrated emphasis on orchestrating firm and client gatherings aimed at fostering engagement and achieving business goals. The Manager will take charge of crafting and executing strategic, multifaceted event programs while supporting the establishment of a comprehensive events framework in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the conceptualization and organization of events, including design, speaker coordination, audience engagement, event execution (virtual, hybrid, in-person), and post-event evaluation.
- Manage individual event budgets and invoicing processes.
- Collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders across the firm's network to ensure a high-quality experience for attendees, aligned with set objectives.
- Handle operational aspects such as local office event toolkits and communications to ensure event delivery adheres to firm policies and guidelines.
- Provide advisory services to internal and client teams for events, ensuring adherence to best practices and cost-effectiveness.
- Serve as the primary contact for all business personnel (Partners, affiliated consultants, and specialists), support departments, and Executive Assistants, offering guidance on event planning.
- Assist the Senior Events Director with flagship regional and global initiatives across the Americas as needed.
- Independently execute various strategic projects as required.
- Identify key themes, innovations, and trends within the industry to develop engaging event concepts and continuously enhance the quality of our event offerings.
- Manage vendor relationships across diverse services, from procurement to contract negotiations.
- Mentor and coach junior team members, providing opportunities to develop their event management skills.
Experience Required:
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in event management across a diverse array of events, including conferences, seminars, roundtables, networking events, virtual broadcasts, and webinars.
- Prior experience in Events Management within the management consulting, luxury hospitality, or professional/financial services sectors is preferred.
- A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Familiarity with meeting management software and technology platforms such as Cvent, Zoom, and MS Teams.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $100,000 to $142,000, determined by factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and applicable minimum wage requirements. Additional performance-based incentives may be available.
