Event Sales and Service Representative

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Event Sales and Service Representative to join our team at The Goodkind Group. As an Event Sales and Service Representative, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of corporate and high-end banquets and events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft contracts for each event
  • Find clients and make sales
  • Create banquet event orders and coordinate event execution with relevant staff
  • Create invoices for clients after the event
  • Foster long-term guest relationships and as directed by management
  • Track all events and client details in reservation systems and Excel spreadsheets
  • Drive sales via outside sales, networking, community involvement, hotel concierge outreach, and other methods
  • Assist in coordinating day-of events
  • Meet with day-of clients and execute the terms of event orders and contracts
  • Pre-shift meetings with staff to review upcoming events

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience as a senior event coordinator or similar position
  • Knowledge of NYC restaurants and venues
  • Strong sense of guest relations and customer service
  • Proficient with computers, including Microsoft Office programs
  • Excellent knowledge of restaurant business
  • Excellent planning, time management, and organizational skills
  • Very strong communication and writing skills
  • Able to lift up to 20 lbs, frequently
  • Ability to work various shifts if needed for special events, including nights, weekends, and holidays
