Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Financial Communications Specialist to join our Investor Relations team. This role is pivotal in articulating Sunrun's significant growth potential and our financial performance to stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional attention to detail, outstanding written communication skills, and a background in investor relations or the capital markets sector. This position is primarily internal-facing, focusing on the development and coordination of investor-related materials and communications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the creation and upkeep of investor presentations, website content, consensus summaries, financial models, and industry trackers utilized by our public equity investors and senior management.
  • Assist in drafting and refining various investor communications, including earnings releases, earnings call scripts, investor presentations, and shareholder correspondence.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including policy, accounting, FP&A, operations, project finance, asset management, communications, and legal, to maintain essential reference materials for executives.
  • Address inquiries from investors and research analysts as directed by the head of Investor Relations and Senior Investor Relations Analyst.
  • Contribute to ESG reporting initiatives with external rating agencies and collaborate with internal teams for the annual Impact Report; monitor trends in ESG investing and advise leadership on effective communication strategies.
  • Prepare briefing documents on investors for engagements involving the Head of Investor Relations and other management participants.
  • Engage in investor targeting initiatives, tracking the effectiveness of our outreach efforts through roadshows, investor conferences, and one-on-one meetings.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analyses to support corporate decision-making and enhance our external communication strategy.
Qualifications
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in investor relations or a related capital market role (equity research, investment banking, consulting, etc.).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on persuasive and technical writing, along with strong grammar and editing capabilities.
  • A collaborative team player.
  • Bachelor's degree with excellent academic performance.
  • Proficiency in a wide range of financial topics (GAAP reporting, financial statements, valuation techniques, etc.).
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
  • High ethical standards and sound judgment.
  • Proficient in Google Suite (Slides, Sheets, Docs) and experienced with PowerPoint and advanced Excel functions (VLookups, pivot tables, etc.).
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to operate office equipment and ensure the accuracy of work.
  • Ability to engage with colleagues and participate in meetings.
