This position will report directly to the Controller and will play a vital role within the Serenity Management Team. If you possess 2 years of public accounting experience or at least 5 years in general accounting leadership, this role may be an excellent fit for you.

Location: Remote

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the strategy, processes, and execution of the organization’s financial operations, including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payroll.
  • Assess current financial practices and identify opportunities for enhancement and increased efficiency.
  • Assist in the preparation of internal and external financial statements, ensuring transparency in financial operations throughout the organization.
  • Guarantee compliance with federal and state regulations, including tax obligations across multiple states.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial and business information.
  • Conduct regular audits and evaluate the financial performance of Serenity.
  • Establish clear budgeting processes for various behavioral health clinics.
  • Provide comprehensive financial analysis to the Executive team and support financial planning initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Accounting.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years in public accounting or an audit role with a major firm is preferred.
  • Ability to thoroughly understand business processes to generate strategic financial insights.
  • Knowledge of tax codes and regulations is advantageous.
  • Proven track record of producing consistent, clear financial reports and effectively communicating financial requirements to the Executive team.
  • Experience in establishing and enforcing financial controls while adhering to corporate governance standards.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
