Compensation: $19/hour

Position Summary
The Administrative Support Specialist plays a vital role in the Lehi Cares Coalition, which aims to address youth health and behavioral challenges, including substance abuse, delinquency, and educational disengagement. This role is designed to assist the Coalition Coordinator in implementing various coalition initiatives. The position entails working 20 hours per week and offers a hybrid work model, allowing for both in-person and remote work. Some travel may be necessary for training and events. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing comprehensive administrative assistance to the Coalition Coordinator
- Coordinating calendars and organizing events/meetings with volunteers, local leaders, and educational officials
- Drafting and refining correspondence, presentations, and other essential documents
- Maintaining filing systems and online databases for efficient information management
- Overseeing orders for promotional materials, catering, and printing services
- Assisting in the preparation of reports, grant applications, meeting minutes, and presentations
- Managing billing submissions for monthly grant reimbursements
- Applying for and overseeing annual grants to fund coalition activities
- Administering coalition social media platforms and developing marketing communications
- Supporting the organization and execution of coalition meetings and events
- Contributing to the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the Communities That Care process to help the coalition achieve its objectives
- Assisting with additional coalition activities as required
Qualifications and Skills
Essential Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in an administrative support role or similar position
- Proficient graphic design capabilities
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
- Familiarity with office management systems and procedures
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to follow directives and prioritize tasks effectively
- Meticulous attention to detail and problem-solving aptitude
- Comfortable using phone systems and social media platforms
- Previous experience in clerical or administrative roles is advantageous
This position is crucial for fostering positive transformations for youth and families within the community. Therefore, it is expected that employees uphold a high standard of integrity and commitment to community values. Personal conduct must reflect accountability and professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications:
A degree in Marketing, Communications, or Public Relations, along with experience in youth and family development.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Technical: Understanding of program development, administration, and oversight; knowledge of financial administration, including grant writing and management; awareness of community risk factors and prevention strategies; familiarity with youth social studies; general knowledge of office administrative procedures.
Communication: Ability to effectively engage in public speaking and communicate positively in various formats.
Interpersonal: Must exhibit a positive, approachable demeanor and possess the ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships.
Administrative: Capable of organizing and executing tasks under general guidance; able to work effectively under pressure from competing priorities; skilled in maintaining a positive demeanor while managing responsibilities.
Physical & Work Environment: Primarily operates in an office setting with a standard atmosphere conducive to work. Must be able to participate in programs as necessary to supervise and oversee related activities. Duties may involve repetitive motions associated with data entry and extended periods of sitting, as well as regular public interactions, which may include challenging situations. Evening work and occasional travel may be required.
Employment in this role is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
