Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Analyst to join our Investor Relations team. This role is essential in conveying Sunrun's significant growth potential alongside our financial and operational achievements to our investors.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional attention to detail, strong written communication abilities, and relevant experience in investor relations or the capital markets sector.

This position is primarily internal-facing, focusing on the creation and coordination of investor-related materials, activities, and communications.

We are looking for a strategic thinker with a quantitative mindset, a passion for financial markets, and the ability to articulate business strategies effectively.

This role is part of our Finance department and will report directly to our Deputy CFO and Investor Relations Officer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and upkeep of investor presentations, website content, consensus summaries, financial models, industry trackers, and other resources utilized by our public equity investors and senior management.
  • Contribute to drafting various communications for investor materials, including earnings releases, earnings call remarks, investor presentations, and shareholder letters, which may involve initial drafts and thorough copy-editing.
  • Collaborate with teams across Sunrun, including policy, accounting, FP&A, operations, project finance, asset management, communications/media, and legal, to maintain internal reference materials such as talking points and industry data for executives.
  • Support investor and research analyst inquiries as directed by the head of Investor Relations and Senior Investor Relations Analyst.
  • Assist with ESG reporting initiatives in collaboration with external rating agencies and internal teams for the annual Impact Report; monitor trends in ESG investing and advise organizational leaders on effective communication strategies regarding our ESG efforts.
  • Prepare briefing documents on investors prior to engagements for the Head of Investor Relations and other management participants.
  • Contribute to investor targeting initiatives, including tracking the effectiveness of our engagement efforts through roadshows, investor conferences, and individual meetings.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analyses to support corporate decision-making and inform our external communication strategies on various topics.
Qualifications
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in investor relations or a related capital market environment (equity research, investment banking, investment advisory, consulting, or investor relations advisory).
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on high-impact persuasive and technical writing, including impeccable grammar and copy-editing capabilities.
  • A collaborative team player.
  • Bachelor's degree with excellent academic performance.
  • Proficiency in a wide range of financial topics (GAAP reporting, financial statements, discounted cash flow models, equity valuation techniques, etc.).
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
  • Impeccable judgment and ethics.
  • Extensive experience with Google Suite products (Google Slides, Sheets, Docs) and proficiency in PowerPoint and complex Excel spreadsheets (VLookups, data tables, pivot tables, charts, etc.).
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to operate office equipment, including computers, and ensure the accuracy of work.
  • Ability to engage with colleagues and participate in meetings.
