Position Overview

We are a distinguished international law firm with a century-long legacy, renowned for our exceptional practices and cutting-edge technology. Our Information Services Department is on the lookout for a Senior Audio Visual Engineer to enhance our technology team, focusing on the development and maintenance of enterprise collaboration and conferencing technologies across our global offices.

This hybrid role requires a minimum of four days per week on-site, based in our New York offices. The successful candidate will report to the Technology Support Manager and collaborate closely with the Conference Services, Technology Operations, and global IS support teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take full ownership of the design, implementation, and support of AV/VC systems in all meeting spaces.
  • Provide proactive 2nd and 3rd-level technical support for all AV/VC services across the organization, including local, virtual/cloud, and large conferencing events.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to assess and design new initiatives, ensuring that all conference rooms meet business needs.
  • Manage and coordinate site installations, upgrades, and decommissions of AV and VC equipment, ensuring all dependencies are addressed.
  • Work with AV vendors to ensure proper installation, configuration, and testing of all devices.
  • Create formal standardization documents for various room types, detailing approved designs and equipment lists.
  • Maintain an inventory of all conference room data, hardware, and licenses.
  • Monitor applicable devices and services, ensuring alerts are acknowledged and addressed within set SLAs.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance to ensure all hardware and software solutions are up-to-date and functioning optimally.
  • Review AV/VC hardware and service contracts globally to ensure adequate support coverage.
  • Adhere to all team and departmental policies, including technical change management and service continuity.
  • Collaborate with various teams to streamline processes, improve efficiencies, and enhance user experience.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five years of experience in large corporate AV/VC environments, with previous law firm experience being advantageous.
  • Deep understanding of conference room technology, including systems like Crestron, Biamp, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Familiarity with design and installation principles of commercial audio-visual and video conferencing systems.
  • Experience in architecting solutions for global business needs in collaboration and communications.
  • Extensive experience in conference room upgrades and new installations.
  • Proficiency in system schematics and architectural drawings.
  • Experience in configuring and supporting large audio and video events.
  • Expertise in remote monitoring and automation technologies.
