Key Responsibilities- Collect blood specimens from patients using appropriate protocols and procedures.
- Perform waived and moderate complexity point-of-care testing, including instrument and reagent quality control and preventative maintenance.
- Document instrument and reagent QC, and perform preventative maintenance as required.
- Assist in the development of procurement training curriculum, CE's, and QA projects.
- Train and orient new employees.
- Handle patient reception, test accessioning, telephone communications, and distribution of reports.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- 1 Year of Experience in Phlebotomy or a related field.
- Ability to perform venipuncture and capillary puncture on patients of all ages.
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures and protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
