We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at Lexington Medical Center. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting blood specimens from patients of all ages, while maintaining a high level of skill and expertise in the performance of venipuncture and capillary puncture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect blood specimens from patients using appropriate protocols and procedures.
  • Perform waived and moderate complexity point-of-care testing, including instrument and reagent quality control and preventative maintenance.
  • Document instrument and reagent QC, and perform preventative maintenance as required.
  • Assist in the development of procurement training curriculum, CE's, and QA projects.
  • Train and orient new employees.
  • Handle patient reception, test accessioning, telephone communications, and distribution of reports.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • 1 Year of Experience in Phlebotomy or a related field.
  • Ability to perform venipuncture and capillary puncture on patients of all ages.
  • Knowledge of laboratory procedures and protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
