Sales Opportunity

At General Tool, we are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Account Manager to join our team. As an Inside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for managing medium to large amounts of accounts, accepting new knowledge and tactics to help answer customers' concerns, inquiries, and/or questions.

About the Role:

  • Manage medium to large amounts of accounts.
  • Accepts new knowledge and tactics to help answer customers' concerns, inquiries, and/or questions.
  • Familiar with ERP systems (SAP experience is a plus).
  • Assisting CSRs and fellow sales with any questions or guidance.
  • Learning and maintaining knowledge of products – old, new, and/or current products and applications.
  • Performs the full range of sales duties along with working in a team environment.
  • Managing, communicating, and interpreting blueprints, measurements, and specifications.
  • Meet any proposed quotas and/or forecasted sales expectations.
  • Effectively responding and following-up, with customers in a timely manner via email and phone calls.
  • Order entry, RMA generation, generation of quotes, and freight knowledge.
  • Assigned additional duties as necessary.

Requirements & Skills:

  • Minimum of 1- 2 years of relevant work experience in sales (required).
  • Must be fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Must be able to construct well-written, clear, concise, professional emails.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office (required) and wide range of computer office meeting communication tools and programs such as Zoom, and MS Teams.
  • Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Extremely detail-oriented and effective proven problem solver.
  • At least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the US.
  • Minimum High School Diploma/GED required, ideal candidate 2-year college degree.
  • Must know basic mathematics, metrics, and measures.
  • Supply chain management knowledge.
  • Inventory knowledge.
  • A/R collection and reconciliation.
  • Be an effective, enthusiastic, communicator and team player.
  • Must be energetic, punctual, professional, and have driven to push the envelope every day.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Must be able to safely lift, pull or push up to 45 lbs. to carry products to customers.
  • Ability to work and sustain attention with distractions and/or interruptions.
  • Ability to interact appropriately with a variety of individuals including customers/clients.
  • Ability to deal with people under adverse circumstances.
