Position Summary:
The Maintenance Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of industrial manufacturing equipment. This position is vital for maintaining machinery functionality through systematic preventive maintenance and effective troubleshooting. The Maintenance Specialist will also contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives and collaborate with kaizen teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preventive Maintenance:
    Conduct installation, repair, and maintenance of machinery and mechanical systems through regular preventive measures.
  • Disassemble machinery to replace defective components as necessary.
  • Utilize various instruments for inspection and measurement to assess part wear and fitment.
  • Manage inventory of equipment parts and supplies, ensuring timely ordering and stock checks.
  • Provide mechanical maintenance information and support to team members.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment by adhering to established procedures.
  • Ensure machinery is operational and ready for production by validating its state before resuming operations.

Troubleshooting and Repair:
Engage in testing electrical circuits with appropriate tools, identifying issues through observation of mechanical operations.

  • Maintain necessary parts, tools, and documentation to facilitate safe and efficient repairs.
  • Reassemble equipment post-repair, ensuring proper testing and adjustments.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and safety inspections to uphold operational standards.
  • Communicate effectively with production teams while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Qualifications:
We seek candidates who demonstrate enthusiasm and a passion for innovation. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 1-3 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in maintaining mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and regulations.
  • Strong troubleshooting and time-management skills.
  • Ability to interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Effective communication and report-writing capabilities.
  • A collaborative spirit, working well across various functions.
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAM software, particularly SolidWorks or Autodesk Fusion 360, is preferred.
