Asset Protection Specialist - Full Time

Position Overview:

The Asset Protection Specialist role is a full-time position dedicated to safeguarding the organization’s assets, property, and personnel through proactive measures, surveillance, and intervention. This position is under the supervision of the Asset Protection Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Observe customer activities via the digital Closed Circuit Television system and on the sales floor.
  • Engage with suspected shoplifters in accordance with established store protocols.
  • Document incidents and provide testimony in legal proceedings.
  • Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Act as the first responder for emergencies requiring First Aid and CPR.
  • Facilitate the transfer of essential items between store locations, including mail services.
  • Commit to upholding the principles of the customer service program.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated and proactive.
  • Ability to maintain positive customer service and public relations in a diverse environment.
  • Capable of making sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
  • Effective communication skills in person, over the phone, and in writing.
  • Employer-provided certification will be required post-hire.
  • Completion of first-aid/CPR training is mandatory within the first month of employment.
  • Must be at least 18 years old at the time of hire with no felony convictions for certification eligibility.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
  • Demonstrated reliability and initiative in previous roles.

Work Schedule:

Availability is required Monday through Friday during operational hours, with additional hours on weekends as needed. Flexibility for extended hours during events is essential.

Compensation:

The hourly wage is $18.00, with potential increases available upon achieving necessary certifications and completing the introductory period.
