As the Inventory Control Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in enhancing efficiencies within the Receiving, Shipping, and Work Order Picking areas. Your leadership will drive improvements in the timely performance of departmental parts flow and services to both internal and external clients.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a cohesive and collaborative work environment.
  • Supervise Inventory Control Leads, Storekeepers, and Truck Drivers to coordinate shipping, receiving, and inventory tasks.
  • Ensure the daily completion of inbound goods receipts, storage, and outbound production orders.
  • Collaborate with the department manager and Inventory Control Leads to identify and implement strategic initiatives for enhanced performance.
  • Maintain order and organization in the stockroom, recommending layout improvements based on material movement.
  • Assist in the administration of annual physical inventory and cycle count programs, monitoring inventory variances for compliance and improvement.
  • Train employees on methods to preserve goods during receiving, storage, and shipping processes.
  • Review records for accuracy and adherence to procedures, ensuring employee understanding and application.
  • Create and maintain training documentation for all workflow processes.
  • Conduct training sessions, mentor, and develop employees to ensure policy compliance.
  • Work with Inventory Control Leads to establish daily work schedules and expedite workflows.
  • Coordinate the timely distribution of parts to assembly departments in alignment with production schedules.
  • Assist in establishing and monitoring Key Performance Indicators related to Inventory Control and Continuous Improvement Initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Production Control, Purchasing, Quality Assurance, and Production Work Center personnel for accurate parts distribution.
  • Support other departmental managers and employees with inventory, shipping, and receiving activities.
  • Work closely with Logistics to ensure compliance and timely shipping of projects.
  • Provide guidance to Inventory Control personnel and assist in hiring and training processes.

Your Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in inventory and logistics within a manufacturing setting.
  • At least two years of experience in a leadership role.
