As the Inventory Control Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in establishing, maintaining, and enhancing operational efficiencies within the Receiving, Shipping, and Work Order Picking sectors. Your leadership will directly contribute to the timely performance of departmental parts flow and the services provided to both internal and external clients.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a cohesive and collaborative work environment.
  • Supervise Inventory Control Leads, Storekeepers, and Truck Drivers to coordinate shipping, receiving, and inventory operations.
  • Ensure the daily completion of inbound goods receipts, storage, and outbound production orders.
  • Collaborate with department management to identify and implement strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing work performance.
  • Maintain organization within the stockroom and assist in planning its layout based on material turnover and movement frequency.
  • Support the Inventory Control Manager in managing the annual physical inventory and cycle count program, monitoring variances for compliance and improvement.
  • Instruct staff on best practices for the preservation of goods throughout the inventory process.
  • Review documentation for accuracy and adherence to procedures, ensuring employee understanding.
  • Develop and maintain training materials that outline procedures for all workflow streams.
  • Conduct training sessions and mentor employees to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Work with Inventory Control Leads to establish daily work schedules and ensure expedited workflows are completed.
  • Coordinate the timely distribution of parts to assembly departments, utilizing production schedules and monitoring systems.
  • Assist in establishing and tracking Key Performance Indicators related to Inventory Control and Continuous Improvement Initiatives.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate and timely distribution of parts for assembly.
  • Work closely with Logistics to ensure compliance and timely shipping of all projects.
  • Provide guidance and direction to Inventory Control personnel.
  • Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and training processes.

Your Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in inventory and logistics within a manufacturing setting.
  • At least two years of experience in a leadership role.
