Position Summary

As a Route Sales Representative, you will be instrumental in fostering and sustaining strong relationships with our customers. Your role involves direct, face-to-face interactions as you deliver essential products and retrieve empty containers along a designated route. This position is both physically demanding and time-sensitive, yet it offers the satisfaction of building trust through outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely load, transport, and unload goods and gas cylinders, ensuring timely retrieval of empty containers.
  • Maintain accurate delivery manifests and vehicle documentation.
  • Assess and monitor customer needs to ensure optimal inventory levels, minimizing emergency deliveries.
  • Utilize warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks efficiently.
  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain a clean and safe vehicle interior and exterior.
  • Assist with in-store customer service and counter sales as needed.
  • Engage in warehouse operations including receiving and shipping tasks.
  • Support inventory management and showroom displays as required.
  • Complete additional tasks and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
  • Possession of a Class B CDL with HazMat endorsement is preferred.
  • Experience with compressed gases and related products is advantageous.
  • Prior customer service or sales experience is beneficial.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must meet all physical qualifications for truck drivers as per regulations.
  • Strong oral communication skills and the ability to work independently are essential.
  • Excellent customer service and time-management skills are required.
  • Must have a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift heavy items regularly and work outdoors in varying conditions.
  • Capability to perform physical tasks including climbing, balancing, and frequent bending.
  • Must be able to operate in a drug-free environment.
