Position Overview

The Enterprise Risk Management Analyst within the Office of Enterprise Risk Management plays a crucial role in supporting the comprehensive risk management program across the organization. Key responsibilities include facilitating the identification of potential risks, developing and monitoring reporting formats on risk management issues, and creating methodologies for risk assessment throughout the organization. This position requires effective communication with various stakeholders regarding risk practices and emerging threats in different business units. Additionally, the analyst may serve as a consultative resource for the first and second lines of defense, prepare risk presentations or informational reports for business leaders, executive management, and the Board of Directors, and assist in formulating organization-wide policies related to risk management and governance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Overseeing the aggregation, reporting, and notification process for Issues Management.
  • Monitoring all bank-wide policies and procedures related to risk management, including tracking their approval statuses and notifying relevant stakeholders.
  • Compiling and analyzing key risk indicators, assessing the necessity for new indicators based on changes in business operations.
  • Evaluating various risk-related processes, including risk assessments and risk appetite proposals.
  • Contributing to the annual capital adequacy assessment process.
  • Collaborating with business lines and support teams to complete risk assessments and develop action plans to address heightened risks.
  • Exhibiting strong communication and relationship-building skills to effectively engage with diverse teams across the organization.
  • Assisting in the creation of organization-wide procedures in response to new risk regulations or changes in the business environment.
  • Preparing monthly and quarterly presentations for Senior Management and the Board of Directors' Executive Risk Management Committee.
  • Generating ad-hoc risk management reports as required.
  • Conducting thorough quantitative analyses and articulating the results and conclusions logically.
  • Staying informed about industry best practices and emerging regulations.
  • Performing additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in risk management, internal or external audit, or related fields within financial institutions or regulatory agencies.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to shifting priorities and tasks.
  • Knowledge of credit, liquidity, market, and capital risks is advantageous.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
  • Understanding of finance, accounting, or business operations through education or experience.
  • Ability to make sound risk/reward decisions.
  • Capacity to balance data, logic, and intuition in decision-making.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to translate strategy into actionable plans.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.

Compensation:

The anticipated annual salary for this role ranges from $75,000 to $95,000, with individual offers based on skills and experience. Our total rewards package includes eligibility for an annual bonus, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans, life and disability insurance, wellness programs, retirement plans with employer contributions, generous holiday and paid time off, parental leave, and tuition reimbursement.
