Position Overview:

The Employment Support Coordinator plays a crucial role in assisting individuals in reaching their career aspirations. This involves crafting tailored support strategies, advocating for personalized employment options, facilitating job explorations, and collaborating with employers to ensure successful integration into the workforce. The Coordinator acts as the main liaison for individuals, families, support networks, and employers within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Essential functions include job development, skill enhancement, and support for self-employment initiatives. The Coordinator is dedicated to fostering an inclusive work environment and ensuring that individuals receive the necessary resources to thrive in their employment journeys.

Qualifications:

Minimum Education/Certification: High School diploma or equivalent, along with at least one year of relevant experience. A Bachelor's degree in a human services discipline is preferred. Ideal candidates will have experience working with individuals with disabilities and/or in employment services. Supervisory experience and CCER certification are also advantageous.

Physical Demands:

Ability to perform sedentary tasks with visual acuity for computer work. Comfort in providing direct services is essential. Potential exposure to pathogens and the need for heavy lifting may arise. The role requires a full range of motion, including time spent on computer tasks and driving. Direct service responsibilities may involve standing, walking, bending, lifting, and computer usage.
