The Lead Construction Supervisor is instrumental in managing field teams within the operations division and serves as the professional representative at construction sites. This position entails preparing project cost assessments, negotiating contracts and purchases, establishing timelines for construction, and analyzing financial reports.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

The Lead Construction Supervisor must possess strong communication skills to effectively interact with employees, vendors, subcontractors, clients, and on-site personnel. The ideal candidate will have the requisite education, experience, and interpersonal skills to execute their responsibilities proficiently. Completion of OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 training is mandatory, either prior to or within 60 days of enrollment in the program.

Key Responsibilities:

The specific responsibilities of the Lead Construction Supervisor will differ based on the project's scale, complexity, and type, generally involving extensive, long-term projects. The candidate will frequently oversee multiple projects at once and will be accountable for the following primary tasks:

  • Develop cost assessments, construction budgets, and timelines.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure adherence to standards.
  • Identify requirements for materials, subcontractors, and labor.
  • Engage in pre-construction meetings to synchronize project objectives.
  • Coordinate and oversee all on-site activities involving employees, subcontractors, craftsmen, tradesmen, and vendors to achieve project goals and standards.
  • Ensure timely project completion within budget constraints.
  • Review invoices and timesheets for accuracy and compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Travel to various markets to prepare cost assessments, establish operations, and comply with local building regulations and practices.
