Position Overview:

We are in search of a highly experienced Superintendent with a robust background in healthcare construction to become a vital part of our team. This position presents a unique chance to lead healthcare construction initiatives, including hospitals and behavioral health facilities.

The ideal candidate will possess an in-depth knowledge of OSHPD regulations and a successful history of managing intricate projects.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Superintendent, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing all stages of healthcare construction projects from initial planning through to completion, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and high-quality standards.
  • Coordinating and supervising construction personnel and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards.
  • Interpreting project drawings, specifications, and contracts to guarantee successful project execution.
  • Communicating effectively with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to facilitate problem-solving and collaboration.
  • Implementing and enforcing safety and risk management protocols to minimize hazards and ensure a secure work environment.
  • Overseeing onsite quality assurance, including conducting inspections and coordinating necessary corrective measures.
  • Preparing and submitting project documentation and maintaining thorough project records.
  • Continuously assessing project progress and making adjustments to schedules, staffing, and resources as required.
  • Addressing any challenges or delays that may affect project timelines.

Qualifications:
To qualify for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in the construction field, specifically in healthcare projects.
  • Extensive expertise in healthcare construction practices, including experience with hospitals and behavioral health facilities.
  • A comprehensive understanding of OSHPD regulations and requirements.
  • A proven track record of managing complex projects and coordinating diverse teams.
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities, with the capacity to effectively guide and motivate a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to proactively address and resolve issues.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and technology.
  • A commitment to safety and quality, with a history of maintaining a secure and efficient work environment.
  • A bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Certifications such as Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or Certified Professional Constructor (CPC) are advantageous.
