Position Overview:

We are in search of an experienced Superintendent with a robust background in healthcare construction to enhance our dynamic team. This position presents a unique chance to oversee healthcare construction projects, including hospitals and behavioral health facilities.

The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of OSHPD regulations and a proven history of managing intricate projects.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Superintendent, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing all stages of healthcare construction projects from initial planning through to completion, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and high-quality standards.
  • Coordinating and supervising construction personnel and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards.
  • Reviewing project drawings, specifications, and contracts to guarantee successful execution.
  • Communicating effectively with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to facilitate problem-solving.
  • Implementing and enforcing safety and risk management protocols to minimize hazards and maintain a secure work environment.
  • Overseeing onsite quality control, including conducting inspections and coordinating necessary corrective measures.
  • Preparing and submitting project reports while maintaining comprehensive documentation.
  • Continuously monitoring project progress and making necessary adjustments to schedules, staffing, and resources.
  • Addressing any issues or delays that may affect project completion.

Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in the construction field, particularly in healthcare projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of healthcare construction methodologies, including experience with hospital and behavioral health initiatives.
  • A comprehensive understanding of OSHPD regulations and requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and coordinate diverse teams effectively.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the capability to motivate and direct a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to resolving issues.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and technology.
  • A commitment to safety and quality, with a history of maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
  • A bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Certifications such as Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or Certified Professional Constructor (CPC) are advantageous.
