Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to enhance our team, focusing on Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to deliver business intelligence solutions, develop BI software, and generate Power BI reports. This position involves working on Controls and Automation initiatives, contributing to both new and existing Control System MES capabilities across various locations. This role provides avenues for professional growth and collaboration with experienced engineers and management.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Design and sustain the Control System, which includes graphics, scripting, and MES applications.
  • Develop or modify applications using Microsoft Visual Studio C# and engage with MES modules and Work Tasks BPM software.
  • Oversee Microsoft Power BI Report Server and the Power BI Power Platform, focusing on data modeling, report creation, and dashboard development.
  • Transition existing reports to Power BI and manage data feeds through SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
  • Work alongside engineers to gather, cleanse, and transform data for comprehensive reporting.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years in a Controls & Automation Engineering position within sectors such as Consumer Goods, Food & Beverage, or Agriculture.
  • Expertise in Ladder Logic Programming with Allen Bradley PLCs and advanced HMI Development.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Visual Studio C#, SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS, and Excel.
  • Strong capabilities in data modeling, Power BI development, and DAX calculations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline, with the willingness to travel up to 25%.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with MES systems (e.g., Siemens, GE, Aveva, Infor, etc.), .NET, and Power BI.
  • Understanding of data warehouse principles and ETL processes.

  • Exceptional problem-solving and communication abilities.
  • Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and flexibility in adapting to evolving requirements.
