Senior Systems Automation Engineer

Position Overview:
As a Senior Systems Automation Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the Enterprise Production Services (EPS) Automation team, leveraging your technical expertise to craft automation solutions across both Cloud and On-Premises environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a hands-on technical leader, contributing to architectural designs, conducting code reviews, and actively developing software as necessary.
- Implement automation technologies and tools to transform requirements into tangible business value.
- Design automation workflows to streamline complex manual processes.
- Collaborate closely with automation platform architects and infrastructure teams to create solutions and integrate with other essential systems.
- Support the corporate adoption of DevOps methodologies and Agile project management practices.
- Ensure the stability of the automation environment, including scheduling and executing system maintenance, release updates, and new technology deployments.
- Drive continual service improvement initiatives related to cloud services administration.
- Participate in disaster recovery activities for both cloud and on-premises infrastructures.
- Utilize basic knowledge of machine learning techniques and models, such as Decision Trees and Time Series analysis.
- Integrate risk and control processes into daily responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risks effectively.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in software development using Python or Java, along with expertise in infrastructure automation.
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing solutions utilizing AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, KMS, Lambda, IAM, Kinesis, and ECS.
- In-depth experience with Cloud methodologies (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), automation, and orchestration.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Chef and Ansible.
- Familiarity with source code and revision control systems, along with CI/CD tools like Git and Jenkins.
- Basic experience with modeling software such as R or Gunicorn.
- Knowledge of scripting languages like JavaScript, PHP, Bash, or Perl for automation purposes.
Essential Skills:
Expertise in Python or Java, Agile methodologies, and designing solutions using AWS services. Proficiency in cloud methodologies, automation, orchestration, and configuration management tools is crucial.
Desirable Skills:
Familiarity with machine learning techniques and basic experience with modeling software.
