Position: XSOAR Automation Engineer

Location: Dallas, TX - Onsite 3 days per week

Contract Duration: 12+ Months with potential for extension

ROLE SUMMARY:

The XSOAR Automation Engineer will play a pivotal role within our Cybersecurity division, focusing on the design, development, and deployment of automated solutions and tailored playbooks. This position requires collaboration with internal stakeholders to create solutions aimed at optimizing processes and enhancing operational efficiency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Craft automation playbooks utilizing both standard and custom integrations and functionalities.
  • Develop bespoke integrations and automation scripts using programming languages such as Python or PowerShell.
  • Seamlessly integrate existing technologies with the XSOAR Platform.
  • Engage in architectural design and analytical tasks pertinent to security automation.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues associated with automation tools and processes.
  • Work collaboratively with teams including network engineering and downstream applications to ensure successful integration of automation solutions.
  • Document and assess identified security automation use cases in conjunction with stakeholders.
  • Facilitate design sessions for automation use cases and playbooks.
  • Create comprehensive documentation regarding automation methodologies and practices.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Palo Alto XSOAR.
  • Proficiency in one or more scripting languages: Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, among others.
  • Experience with Palo Alto Cortex, Azure Databricks, Splunk, Snowflake, CrowdStrike, and Microsoft Compliance Center is advantageous.
  • In-depth understanding of automation in cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments.
  • Familiarity with incident management, cyber-attack methodologies, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices is preferred.
  • Ability to convey technical concepts in a clear and accessible manner.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities are essential.
