We are seeking a highly qualified Clinical Instructor - Vocational Nursing to join our team at American Career College. As a faculty member, you will play a critical role in shaping the next generation of nurses and contributing to the college's mission of transforming healthcare education.
Key Responsibilities- Teaching and Instruction: Deliver high-quality instruction to students in the vocational nursing program, utilizing approved curriculum and effective teaching methods.
- Student Supervision: Supervise students in clinical settings, assessing their ability to apply knowledge and skills in real-world scenarios.
- Curriculum Development: Develop daily lesson plans, advise and remediate students as needed, and maintain accurate attendance and grade records.
- Professional Growth: Participate in faculty meetings, professional development activities, and in-service training sessions to stay current in the field.
- College Involvement: Engage in college activities such as in-services, faculty meetings, student functions, and advisory board meetings.
- Education: Meet one of the following educational requirements:
- Baccalaureate degree from an accredited school recognized by the DOE, with completion of a course or courses in teaching.
- CA teaching certification, with completion of a course or courses in teaching.
- At least one year of full-time teaching experience in a state-accredited or approved registered nursing or vocational nursing school within the last five years.
- Licenses/Certifications: Current active California license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Registered Nurse (RN), and current CPR certification.
The hourly rate for this position is $36.62 - $53.10, depending on experience.
