Job Summary

Sales and leasing of new and used vehicles at the dealership, meeting profit, volume, and customer satisfaction standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete a thorough profile sheet, silent walk-around, and demonstration drive with every prospect.
  • Utilize the latest sales proposal sheet to effectively communicate with customers.
  • Sell or lease a minimum of 10 units per month, maintaining an average of 12 units for participation in sales contests.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers, offering assistance or direction as needed.
  • Assist customers in selecting a vehicle by asking questions and listening carefully to their responses.
  • Explain product performance, application, and benefits to prospects, highlighting optional equipment available for purchase.
  • Offer test drives to all prospects, following dealership procedures to obtain proper identification.
  • Utilize the VinSolutions prospecting and follow-up system to stay organized and focused.
  • Exhibit a high level of commitment to customer satisfaction, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Stay up-to-date on federal, state, and local laws governing retail automotive sales.
  • Establish personal income goals consistent with dealership standards, devising a strategy to meet those goals.
  • Attend product and sales training courses as requested by Sales Managers.
  • Stay informed about new products, features, and accessories, understanding their benefits to customers.
  • Ensure Sales Managers have an opportunity to meet each customer, turning 100% of closed deals to the Finance and Insurance Manager with properly completed paperwork.
  • Deliver vehicles to customers, ensuring they understand the vehicle's operating features, warranty, and paperwork.
  • Introduce customers to service department and collision center personnel, emphasizing the quality and efficiency of service repairs and maintenance.
  • Follow up on post-delivery items, tag/title work, and special requests to ensure all customers' expectations are met.
  • Maintain an owner follow-up system to encourage repeat and referral business, contributing to customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a prospect development system to stay organized and focused.
  • Review and analyze actions at the end of each day, week, month, and year to determine how to better utilize time and plan more effectively.
  • Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
