Job Title:
HR Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned HR Manager to lead our human resources functions and drive business growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employment law, policy interpretation, and employee relations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Advise and guide staff on HR policies, procedures, and employment laws, ensuring compliance with ADA, FMLA, and other regulations.
• Provide leadership in employee relations, including investigations, disciplinary actions, and performance management.
• Develop and implement HR plans, policies, and procedures across all locations.
• Manage job descriptions, performance evaluations, and benefits administration.
• Lead recruitment efforts and oversee the onboarding process for new hires.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws in MD and VA.
• Oversee the organization's HRIS system and assist with system transitions as needed.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years of HR experience, including employment law, policy interpretation, and employee relations.
• Experience with HRIS systems (Paycom preferred) and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience working in a nonprofit or child-friendly environment is a plus.
