Job Summary

Penske Truck Leasing is seeking a highly motivated and experienced District Rental Manager to lead our rental department in a district location. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the rental department, providing leadership for commercial and consumer product lines, and assisting business rental customers, full service lease customers, and consumer rental customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the rental department of a district location, including branches, rental marts, and agents.
  • Provide leadership for commercial and consumer product lines for the district.
  • Assist business rental customers, full service lease customers, and consumer rental customers.
  • Act as liaison between internal customers, including the maintenance department, lease sales representatives, district administrators, and administration associates.
  • Responsible for direct supervision, training, and coaching of rental associates at multiple locations.
  • Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of sales experience required.
  • At least 2 years of management experience required.
  • High school degree or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Valid drivers license required.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint preferred.
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills required.
  • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
