Position Overview:


The role is fundamentally focused on cultivating new and nurturing existing commercial lending relationships, managing a portfolio of business loans, assessing the creditworthiness of clients, overseeing loan performance, preparing loan documentation for review, and enhancing the Bank's reputation within the community to achieve commercial loan quality, profitability, growth, and service targets.

The individual is expected to deliver exceptional service to all clients.

Key Responsibilities:


1. Cultivates new and existing commercial lending relationships by engaging with potential and current clients to cross-sell a range of banking products and enhance the Bank's presence within the community.


2. Manages a portfolio of business loans by structuring loans that align with credit quality, profitability, growth, and service standards as dictated by portfolio performance metrics.


3. Evaluates the creditworthiness of clients through comprehensive analysis of their financial health, repayment capacity, and the realizable value of collateral in line with established policies to maintain a portfolio that meets the Bank's quality benchmarks.


4. Monitors loan performance by maintaining regular communication with clients, assessing their financial status, and addressing issues promptly to mitigate risks associated with collateral depreciation or repayment difficulties.


5. Prepares loan documentation that complies with banking regulations for presentation, and escalates loans exceeding the incumbent's lending authority to the appropriate committee or senior officer, ensuring all loan elements are communicated effectively.


6. Enhances the Bank's community image by engaging in local activities, spearheading community development initiatives, and fostering participation in service organizations to comply with the Community Reinvestment Act.


7. Continuously develops knowledge in Commercial Banking, general banking practices, and business development, demonstrating exemplary behavior, communication, and initiative with clients and colleagues.


8. Implements compliance policies and procedures within the department, ensuring staff receives adequate training to adhere to regulatory standards and cooperates fully with compliance audits.


All employees are accountable for understanding and managing risks associated with their roles as part of the organization's risk management framework.


Minimum Qualifications:

1. Education: BA or BS

2. Experience: 7 years

Required Skills:

- Strong project management capabilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Superior customer service abilities
- Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in relevant software applications
- Intermediate skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience in a lending banking role and a customer-focused environment.

Knowledge of banking regulations and active participation in community and civic engagements is essential.
