Job Summary

The Relationship Manager - Affordable Housing is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with clients in the affordable housing sector. This includes developing and implementing sales strategies to meet individual performance goals and achieving the Bank's growth objectives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of commercial banking products and services, including commercial real estate and multi-family loans. They will also have experience working with deed restricted affordable housing properties and a proven track record of meeting production goals.

The Relationship Manager will work closely with the Credit Administration team to ensure all loan requests are processed in a timely manner and will maintain follow up with existing clients to ensure the bank has timely and accurate financial information.

The successful candidate will be a self-motivated and organized individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will be able to work effectively in a team environment and maintain a professional approach to both duties and personal behaviors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet individual performance goals and achieve the Bank's growth objectives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients in the affordable housing sector
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive profile of customer's current and future banking needs
  • Provide exceptional service and solutions to existing and prospective banking clients
  • Work closely with the Credit Administration team to ensure all loan requests are processed in a timely manner
  • Maintain follow up with existing clients to ensure the bank has timely and accurate financial information
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent prior banking experience
  • 5+ years of experience lending to affordable housing organizations and properties or commensurate experience in a financial capacity for an organization in the affordable housing industry
  • Demonstrated relationship management experience and understanding of commercial banking products and services
  • Proven sales and business development skills
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office related software, Salesforce, and/or other established Client Management System (CSM)
