Patient Services Representative

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Services Representative to join our team at Advocate Health. As a key member of our patient services team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities- Provide efficient and high-quality service to patients, including scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and responding to patient inquiries.
- Ensure accurate and timely billing and follow-up information on patients and payers.
- Uphold standards of the practice and medical group for accurate and timely medical records.
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Six-week MSO training program immediately after hire to be assigned to a practice.
- Two to three years of customer service experience in a high-volume, high-stress environment.
- Experience handling difficult callers, customers, and patients.
- Ability to solve problems posed by callers seeking referrals, appointments, billing issues, and clinical information.
- Ability to function in a high-volume, multiple-task environment, possibly in a crowded or closely shared workspace.
- Exposure to ill patients.
- Ability to work under stressful conditions with demanding customers.
