Role Summary: Metro Star Services is in search of dedicated, empathetic, and responsible individuals for part-time roles. This position is ideally suited for students currently enrolled at the University of Central Florida who seek to engage in meaningful work while balancing their academic commitments. The selected candidate will assist a fellow student with disabilities in navigating university life and offer academic support as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the student with daily living tasks on campus.
- Provide educational assistance, including note-taking (if necessary), tutoring, and organizing study materials.
- Guide the student in utilizing campus facilities and resources.
- Encourage an inclusive and supportive atmosphere.
- Communicate effectively with the student and Metro Star Services team.
- Exhibit a high level of dependability and accountability.
Qualifications:
- Must be currently enrolled as a student at the University of Central Florida.
- Exhibit compassion and understanding towards individuals with disabilities.
- Highly reliable with a strong sense of accountability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capability to provide educational support and assistance.
- Flexible availability to accommodate part-time hours.
- Must be at least 18 years old and possess a minimum of one year of experience in medical, nursing, or childcare environments.
- Must successfully complete a Level 2 background screening.
- Relevant college, vocational, or technical training from an accredited institution may substitute for experience (30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or 720 classroom hours can replace one year of experience).
