Job Overview

Position Summary

The Quality Control Labeling Inspector plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of inventory within the Tissue Bank. This position involves conducting final inspections and labeling of products, overseeing the transport and storage of quarantined tissue, and managing labeling supplies. The inspector is also responsible for fostering Lean Practices throughout the organization, including participation in brainstorming sessions and Lean initiatives, while promoting effective problem-solving methodologies. Compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as AATB standards, is paramount in all labeling operations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Prepare the QC labeling areas according to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  2. Conduct final inspections of products to ensure adherence to specifications, label accuracy, and compliance with relevant regulations and quality standards set by Vivex Biologics, Inc.
  3. Assemble components for final products.
  4. Affix labels to final products and include necessary package inserts and boxes.
  5. Maintain precise inventory records of post-processing and quarantined products (both frozen and at room temperature).
  6. Oversee the disposition of nonconforming products as directed.
  7. Coordinate and prepare products for sterilization processes.
  8. Monitor freezer conditions and respond to alarm notifications.
  9. Assist in nonconformance investigations when necessary.
  10. Stay informed about applicable regulations and standards related to the storage, handling, labeling, and inspection of tissue.
  11. Maintain effective communication with management regarding any issues that arise to ensure appropriate resolutions.
  12. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

High School Diploma with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.

Associate Degree with at least 1 year of relevant experience.

Bachelor's Degree with 0-1 years of relevant experience.

Work Environment

This position is primarily indoors in controlled environmental conditions. Overtime may be necessary to meet production deadlines, and on-call duties or weekend work may be required.

Physical Requirements

Candidates must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs. without assistance. The role may involve infrequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying of boxes weighing up to 25 pounds, as well as walking, squatting, and bending for intervals of 15-30 minutes, with or without reasonable accommodation.
