Barfield Inc. is seeking a skilled Quality Inspector to enhance our Quality Department. As a pivotal member of our team, you will ensure compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations and manufacturer specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an updated repository of relevant FAA regulations, Advisory Circulars, Type Certification Data Sheets, and Airworthiness Directives.
  • Conduct regular inspections of all tools and testing equipment, ensuring they meet recertification standards.
  • Verify that no defective or unserviceable parts are utilized in any components released by the facility.
  • Report any malfunctions or defects to the Director of Quality, ensuring timely documentation and compliance with FAA protocols.
  • Perform thorough inspections of incoming materials, including new parts and supplies, ensuring airworthiness of all articles processed.
  • Execute preliminary, hidden damage, in-progress, and final inspections, documenting results as per established guidelines.
  • Oversee the correct tagging and identification of all parts and components.
  • Ensure that rejected and unserviceable parts are managed to prevent their use as serviceable items.
  • Maintain organized files of completed work orders and inspection forms for easy access and review.
  • Monitor the usage of Life-Limited products, ensuring compliance with their expiration dates.

Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of FARs and inspection methodologies.
  • Proficient in using mechanical, electronic, and visual inspection tools.
  • Experience in aviation, with a minimum of 3 years in a relevant role.
  • Familiarity with ISO9000 standards and basic electronic principles.
